Legal Fees and Costs

The amount of cooperation (or lack thereof) between you and your spouse determines the total amount of legal fees in your divorce matter. Uncontested Divorces are always less expensive than Contested matters. Contested matters which are settled are always less expensive than going to Trial. Cases which do not require experts are always less expensive than those which do... and so on.

Our staff works under the direct supervision of Las Vegas divorce attorneys Jennifer V. Abrams and Vincent Mayo. Every effort is made to assign qualified staff to experience appropriate tasks. This team approach maximizes efficiency and reduces the total amount of legal fees.

You have numerous payment options for your divorce case. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. We will also accept payments or credit card authorizations from third parties, if you have friends or family that would like to assist you, until they can be paid back from Temporary Orders or your Property Settlements proceeds.

Initial Retainer Deposits
All divorce cases require an initial retainer, which is deposited into your Client Trust Account. This initial retainer is a deposit for legal fees and costs that are required for your case. As your case progresses, you may be required to refresh your Client Trust Account to keep a positive balance. At the conclusion of your divorce matter, any balance remaining in your Client Trust Account is promptly refunded to you.

Hourly Rates
Each divorce case requires a unique amount of time and effort. Both Contested and Uncontested matters are billed at hourly rates, solely for actual work performed.

Case Costs
Divorce cases require certain reimbursable costs. These costs can include filing fees, process server fees, Stenographer fees, legal research and analysis, delivery fees, postage, travel expenses, reproduction costs, and other similar items.

Reimbursable costs are based on the actual cost expended. We do not markup any reimbursable costs.
