Las Vegas Divorce Attorneys. Las Vegas Divorce Lawyers.
Court Certified Independent Experts
An expert's reputation in the eyes of a Family Court Judge is critical when your spouse's Las Vegas divorce lawyer has a contrary opinion. Each expert retained by our law firm is certified by the Clark County Family Court. They possess decades of combined experience, and likely have previously appeared before the judge assigned to your case.
Business Valuators
Business valuators conduct an examination of the business and prepare a written valuation report. This often includes visiting the business, gathering financial documents, and performing an analysis of the business' finances.
A business valuator does not locate Hidden Assets or challenge the income and expenses of the business. This task is performed by a forensic accountant, when necessary.
Whether one spouse or both manage a business, including professional practices, it is important to establish a value range for Property Settlement purposes. Once the value range is determined, Las Vegas divorce attorneys, Jennifer V. Abrams and Vincent Mayo, know how to position the valuation report in your best interest.
Forensic Accountants
If there is good reason to believe that your spouse is not being truthful about significant financial matters, we can retain a forensic accountant on your behalf. All of our forensic accountants are Certified Public Accountants who specialize in uncovering Hidden Assets.
Forensic accountants use the financial information that we have collected during Discovery as a starting point for their investigation. The tactics used by these professionals are all encompassing. The details of their methods are best left out of this public forum.
In instances where Hidden Assets are uncovered, your Attorney will immediately hold your spouse accountable.
Child Custody Experts
If you and your spouse cannot come to terms regarding Child Custody, an expert is often required to form an opinion and write a report for the judge assigned to your case. The experts retained by our firm on your behalf have all obtained doctorate degrees (PhDs).
These experts will interview and perform psychological testing on both you and your spouse. They also interview collateral witnesses such as other family members and friends. The report they prepare will detail their findings and provide recommendations as to what is in the best interest of your child (or children).
It is important to understand that a Child Custody expert is an unbiased third party. They are not advocates for your position. Rather, they provide their professional opinion solely based on their findings. It is the responsibility of your divorce attorney to use their findings to your benefit.
